Summary
VakilBook is a professional case-management service. We collect the information needed to operate an account, keep a private diary and secure the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Information we process
Account information includes your name, email address, Bar Council enrollment number, optional phone number, app installations and active sessions. Your workspace may include saved-case relationships, folders, notes, reminders, FIR monitors, notification history and preferences.
NotesVB cloud storage
If cloud sync is enabled for your account, your NotesVB projects — their documents, excerpts, notes and handwriting — are stored encrypted on secure cloud servers so they stay the same on your phones and tablets. They are kept with your account and used only to provide sync. A project you delete from the NotesVB Trash Bin is removed from cloud storage at once, and deleting your account removes all of your stored projects.
Public court information
Court and tribunal records are public-source data. VakilBook may maintain a shared public case record so advocates who save the same matter can receive existing details. Your private notes, folders and account relationship to a case are not public.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts, deliver the service, send verification and password-reset email, protect the platform, maintain audit records, provide support and comply with applicable law. Account email is delivered through a service provider that receives only what is needed to send it.
Security and retention
Sensitive contact and enrollment fields are encrypted at rest and network traffic uses TLS. Access is restricted and security-sensitive activity is audited. We retain information while your account is active and retain limited security or legal records where necessary.
Deletion and your choices
You can schedule deletion from Settings. The account and associated private data are removed after the displayed 30-day period. Public court records that exist independently of your account are unaffected. See the account deletion instructions.
Children
VakilBook is intended for advocates and legal professionals aged 18 or above and is not directed to children.
